LSSM performs live at Suwanee Fest

Music That Connects

LSSM teacher singing at Suwanee Fest

Suwanee Fest, you gave us a weekend to remember. LSSM students and staff performed, and the music that carried through the air was ours to share.

Alongside our solo performers, our brand-new student band took the stage for the first time.

A New Chapter

FOR LSSM

Our Snellville location is officially open!

Students, families, community leaders, LSSM teachers, and city representatives joined us for a weekend of music, celebration, and connection.

Community, Creativity, & Music

The open house featured prizes, raffles, games, a musical petting zoo, and an art table where kids could create. Staff and students from all three locations pitched in to help, and the Snellville community showed up in full support.

We're especially grateful to our student performers and their families, who brought the day to life.

It takes a village and we're grateful for ours.

What we do at LSSM has always been about more than lessons. It's about confidence, creativity, and helping kids find something they love. Now we get to do that in three communities.

Come see us at our new Snellville location!

We'd love to welcome you.

GRAND OPENING HIGHLIGHTS

Families enjoyed raffles, games, prizes, art activities, and live performances throughout the event.

At LSSM, we believe the arts should grow with your child. Our Creative Arts Academy brings young musicians together to learn, create, and perform side by side.

Whether they're joining a band, singing in a chorus, acting through song, or composing original work, students build real skills and real confidence. And this is just the beginning.

We'll be expanding into more art courses in the future, so stay tuned. The arts are growing at LSSM, and we'd love for your family to be part of it.

 LSSM’s Core Values

Empathy

Empathy is the ability to understand and share another person's feelings by seeing a situation from their perspective—often described as "walking a mile in someone else's shoes."

Practicing empathy can be challenging because everyone has different life experiences, beliefs, and emotions, making it difficult to fully understand what someone else is going through. Empathy is often confused with sympathy, but they are different. Sympathy means feeling sorry for someone or recognizing their pain, while empathy means trying to understand how they feel.

Although neither automatically requires action, empathy is more likely to inspire compassionate actions, such as listening, offering support, or helping someone in need.

True empathy also takes time and sacrifice. It requires slowing down, setting aside our own assumptions, listening with patience, and being willing to invest in another person's well-being. Choosing empathy over judgment strengthens relationships, builds trust, and creates a more caring and compassionate community.
