Music Production Classes for Recording, Mixing, and Making Beats

Are you interested in music production, making beats, or how to record, edit, and mix music? Now, at LSSM you can record your own song, make your own beat, or express yourself musically in a fun way!

 

We use Industry Standard Software and work to demystify the whole process. Our lessons are a full spectrum audio engineering experience, and you will be amazed at how we simplify the entire learning process in our warm, fun and friendly learning environment.

 

In your lessons, we teach you about Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software and show you the tools and techniques you need to start recording and mixing. When learning with us, you will learn how to understand signal flow, create and edit tracks, audio equipment management, and record audio and MIDI. This course is designed to help students develop a full and in-depth understanding of Logic Pro X and its uses, and to navigate it with ease.

You can learn as much as you want by starting with the basics or completing the course in its entirety from level 1 through level 3. Each course is 4 months, and in time you will be dropping those beats, and recording your favorite music from the comfort of your own home, or right here in the LSSM Music Production classroom.

Message from the instructor

“Many people want to write music or lay down their own beats, but find themselves disappointed. Their recordings are not quality because they haven’t spent the time to learn the program. My job is to help my students master their recording goals. Their new recordings will 'blow others away', impress their friends, and family and listeners from around the world."

What you need to know

Class Setup

  • 10+ years old

  • No prior musical experience required

  • Bonus for students taking private lessons

  • 4 students per class

Mandatory Purchases

  • An external hard drive, or portable flash drive for the students to store their work on.

  • Music Tech Binder for note taking and assignment details: (can be purchased at the front desk).

  • Tuition

    • Group of 4 or less: $140/month​

    • Private lesson: $280/month

Optional Purchases

  • Logic Pro X and Mac Computer
    *Students will be allowed to use LSSM’s purchased Logic Pro X and Mac computers at the school during class times.
