Our Music Director

Mrs. Valencia Giles began her musical journey at the age of 7, when her father gave her a piano. At the time, she grew to love this gift yet had no idea the impact it would have on her life. Mrs. Giles grew to not only master the piano, but also the flute. She graduated with honors from Alabama A&M University with a double major in flute and piano. Mrs. Giles is also a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).

What We Believe

With love as our model and great musicianship as our goal, we want to inspire, educate, build confidence, and motivate our students to perform at their highest level possible. We believe that the best way to learn music is with one-on-one, private instruction. Each lesson is tailored individually, for the way the student learns best. We take into account age, experience, personality, and learning style. We teach ages 4 – adult! It’s never “too late” to learn how to play music. We do provide group lessons for ages 1-7. This is a great introductory class that gets your preschooler ready for private lessons within 3 to 6 months.

One-on-One Attention

Students in private lessons are able to learn the type of music they personally are most interested in. Our teachers can focus 100% of their attention on that one student to ensure that hand positioning, posture, or the understanding of a particular concept is correct. If a student has a particular difficulty in one area, the teacher can work on it without hampering the progress of a class of students and alternatively, if a student is excelling in one area, the teacher can move on. We offer 30-minute and 1-hour lessons.

Our school is equipped to offer music lessons for students of all ages and abilities, from beginners to very advanced students. We offer every style of lesson from classical to jazz and pop.
