Good job, everyone!
During Fall Festival week, students are assessed by our teachers. Typically, they perform one song from memory, play scales & do sight reading. We had nearly 200 students participate in Fall Festival! Preparing for this is no small task. We would like to give a HUGE shout out to Office Manager Amanda for spending hours the week prior to festival making sure that everything was organized and prepared well. She arranged and scheduled the assessments for 6 days of festival and 200 student assessments. It takes a very special brain to be able to organize such a large scale event: Mrs. Giles, Morgan & Tanairy are so glad Amanda was ready to take on the project!
The beautiful part of assessments is that there is lots of follow up, so everything noted by the "assessing" teacher is put to use! We will be holding parent teacher conferences all week during the student's lesson times where the judge's remarks will be communicated and they can really celebrate their successes and make new goals to tackle the areas that need work! Students will also receive a certificate with their rating: Superior, Excellent, Good or Fair. We are so happy that Fall Festival was a success and a positive experience for everyone involved. We truly have extraordinary teachers who are raising up remarkable musicians!
What's next?! It's time to prepare for performances! We will be having student performances at Caffe Bene in Suwanee on November 7th and our HOLIDAY RECITAL on December 3rd! Time to dig in to our new pieces and prepare to shine!
